Job summary

Paycom is hiring a Mobile Crisis Intervention Counselor or Specialist to provide direct crisis counseling and mobile intervention in the home or community. You will assess risk, create safety plans, and coordinate referrals to mental health, addiction, trauma, and related supports.

Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s in human services, with at least one year of clinical experience and a valid US driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s (Counselor) or Master’s (Specialist) in human services or related field.
• At least one year of clinical experience providing direct services to persons with mental illness.
• Current, valid driver's license in the state of residence, three years driving experience in the United States, and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate crisis counseling and mobile crisis intervention in the community or via phone.
• Assess risk and develop immediate safety plans with clear, measurable outcomes.
• Coordinate linkage to community resources and involuntary hospitalization when necessary.
• Document intakes, progress notes, and discharge plans in accordance with supervisor guidance.
• Engage families and coordinate with physicians, psychiatrists, and other providers as needed.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings to maintain crisis intervention competencies.
