Job summary

Westmoreland Community Action in Pennsylvania is seeking several full-time Crisis Worker 1 positions to defuse crises and provide stabilization and support. You will back up Crisis Worker 2s and deliver 24/7 mobile crisis services across three shifts to Westmoreland County residents.

The Mobile Crisis Team provides face-to-face intervention for suicidal or homicidal ideation and other behavioral health concerns, offering resources and referrals and coordinating with county providers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and $15,000/$30,000 bodily liability insurance.
• Ability to assist crisis workers in crisis situations.
• Ability and willingness to work various shifts.
• Must obtain required background checks and clearances.
• Direct experience in crisis intervention preferred.
• Proficiency with computer software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 mobile crisis services to Westmoreland County residents.
• Deliver crisis intervention, psycho-educational coaching, resources, and aftercare.
• Collaborate with Westmoreland County Behavioral Health and other providers.
