Job summary

Westmoreland Community Action seeks a Crisis Worker 2 to provide Telephone Crisis Intervention and Mobile services to distressed residents in Westmoreland County. The role involves defusing crisis situations, offering stabilization, and coordinating referrals and aftercare across on-call/mobile shifts.

Work requires documentation accuracy, collaboration with county agencies, and adherence to HIPAA. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available with comprehensive benefits and 24/7 crisis

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in sociology, social work, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, theology, nursing, counseling, education or related field.
• High School diploma or equivalency with 12 semester hours in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology or other social service and two years experience in human services.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention services via telephone and in the community.
• Complete documentation for each crisis program per guidelines.
• Travel using agency vehicle to respond to calls when on-call.
• Maintain 24/7 call center presence across three shifts.
• Attend trainings, case conferences and staff meetings as scheduled.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain consumer confidentiality.
