Job summary

Westmoreland Community Action seeks part-time Crisis Worker 1s to defuse crises, provide stabilization, and support. You will back up Crisis Worker 2s while delivering 24/7 mobile services across three shifts to residents in Westmoreland County.

Responsibilities include crisis intervention, psycho-educational coaching, resource referrals, and aftercare, working with county behavioral health and providers to connect individuals with needed services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• Valid driver license and must carry $15,000/$30,000 bodily liability car insurance.
• Ability to assist crisis workers in crisis situations.
• Ability and willingness to work various shifts.
• Must be able to obtain child abuse, state police, fingerprint-based criminal background check, and sex offender registry clearances.
• Provide a certificate of or be able to complete Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse training.
• Direct experience in crisis intervention is preferred.
• Proficiency with computer software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 mobile crisis services through three shifts.
• Offer crisis intervention, psycho-educational coaching, resources and referrals and aftercare.
• Collaborate with Westmoreland County Behavioral Health and Development services and other county providers.
