Job summary

Elizabeth Layton Center in Ottawa, KS is seeking a Mobile Crisis Case Manager to join our Outpatient Crisis team. You will provide crisis intervention by phone and in person, assess danger levels, and coordinate community resources to meet client needs.

The role emphasizes home and community settings with on-call duties and a focus on rapid, compassionate response. You will work with adults and children, support the Mobile Crisis Unit, and help ensure timely documentation and data collection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required to meet KS licensing.
• Minimum qualifications per Kansas Case Management Program Standards.
• Familiarity with mental health theory and practice.
• Clean driving record.
• Pass security check as required by Medicaid regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct crisis intervention services by phone and in person, documenting calls.
• Address immediate needs of walk-in/call-in clients with psychiatric crisis.
• Respond to crises in the community, including ERs, schools, and consumer homes.
• Support Mobile Crisis Unit calls and transport clients to hospital when needed.
• Be part of 24-hour Crisis team on a rotating schedule.
• Ensure timely documentation and data collection; meet deadlines.
• Assist other case managers and consumers as needed to help meet agency needs.
