Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Mobile Building Engineer to support multiple facilities in the North Charleston, SC area. The role focuses on repairs, preventive maintenance, and keeping mechanical, plumbing and safety systems running to plan.

Applicants should be able to travel regionally and live within the working radius. Ideal candidates have at least four years of building engineering experience, a universal EPA license, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of four years as a building engineer with hands-on repair experience.
• Universal EPA license is required or strongly preferred.
• Mobile maintenance experience is highly preferred.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repairs of mechanical, industrial, plumbing and safety systems.
• Review work orders, estimate time/materials, and manage supplies.
• Implement preventive maintenance to extend equipment life.
• Inspect building systems (HVAC, fire alarms, plumbing) for compliance.
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and safety directives.
• Operate company vehicles to perform daily tasks.
• Share knowledge and coach others within the team.
• Lead by example, aligning with CBRE values.
