Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Mobile Building Engineer to operate and maintain mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across multiple commercial properties in the DMV area. The role involves rounds, preventive maintenance, and responding to emergencies, with a schedule of Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Graduate of apprentice program or trade school preferred.
• 5+ years of related work experience operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting.
• Appropriate license/permit for trade as may be required (Journeyman/Master Electrician, etc.).
• May require Universal Technician certification for CFCs depending on market licensure.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Experience with energy management systems and building systems operations.
• Knowledge of building systems operations, maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and timely repairs to equipment.
• Inspect and repair building equipment, controls and energy systems.
• Monitor energy management and optimize efficiency.
• Respond to emergencies and safety incidents and report to supervisor.
• Document activities and communicate with supervision.
