Job summary

The American Red Cross in Novi, MI is hiring a Blood Collection Driver. You will drive blood collection vehicles, transport supplies and staff to mobile sites, and help create a welcoming environment for donors. Paid phlebotomy training is provided, enabling growth within the organization.

You will connect with donors, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and support setup and teardown at donation sites. A high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and customer service skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required; Chauffeur's License needed and to be obtained if not possessed.
• Physical requirements include lifting and long hours; ability to operate Red Cross vehicles safely.

Responsibilities

• Drive blood collection vehicles to transport supplies, equipment, blood products and staff to mobile sites.
• Load and unload trucks and other vehicles.
• Create a welcoming donor environment and connect with donors to explain donations.
• Set up and tear down equipment at donation sites and ensure regulatory safety standards.
