Job Overview

Mobile Associates, Store-in-Store, are an integral part of the Retail Team responsible for bringing the T-Mobile brand to life within National Sales partner locations, where active customer engagement is crucial for success. They are ambassadors who create energy and excitement around our products and services. They thrive in high-traffic environments, are obsessed with the connected world, and continuously adapt to evolving technology, customer needs, and retail experiences. They excel at building relationships with customers through meaningful interactions, identifying needs, and recommending solutions. Mobile Associates are expected to exceed performance targets by excelling in sales, providing exceptional customer experiences, and meeting quality of sale metrics.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Customer Engagement: Proactively engage with customers in a high-traffic retail environment, using digital tools, effective communication, and education to showcase T-Mobile solutions.
  2. Solution-Based Selling: Use digital self-serve tools during customer interactions, identify needs, and recommend wireless solutions. Help customers understand how to self-serve and utilize the T-Mobile app, deepening relationships and ensuring satisfaction.
  3. Training and Knowledge: Complete training on in-store experience, products, systems, and processes. Continuously learn to improve skills and provide the best customer experience. Partner with nearby stores for onboarding and perform store operations including opening/closing procedures and asset security.
  4. Customer Service: Be passionate, friendly, and engaging. Build rapport, trust, and loyalty. Follow up with customers, manage referrals, and perform price overrides for special offers.
  5. Relationship Building: Develop relationships with leadership and teams to support the customer experience from account setup to device support and servicing.
Education and Work Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience; retail experience preferred (Required)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Customer Satisfaction: Passionate about customer service, able to balance experience and performance goals (Required)
  • Team Building: Willing to work with peers and leaders, share best practices (Required)
  • Retail Sales: Competitive drive and confidence in a fast-paced sales environment (Required)
Licenses and Certifications
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Additional Information

Within the first 90 days, Mobile Associates receive training and are eligible for incentive pay. After training, they can promote to Mobile Expert with an annual incentive target of $18,000, subject to performance. All employees earn a minimum of $20/hour including incentives. They are also eligible for an annual stock grant.
