Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living LLC in Bedford, NH, is seeking a compassionate Medication Nursing Assistant for a full-time 3 PM–11 PM shift. Pay is up to $26.25/hour.

The role focuses on delivering resident care in a warm, home-like setting with emphasis on accurate medication administration and documentation in MAR. Responsibilities include communicating with the Resident Care Director, monitoring resident status, and ensuring compliance with state protocols.

Qualifications

• Must have Medication Nursing Assistant license and demonstrate competency as per state protocol.
• Complete medication technician competency review quarterly.
• CPR certification required or obtainable within 6 months.
• Complete state-approved drug administration training with certificate.
• Med-Tech competency reviewed by RCD quarterly.
• Current CNA certification or completion of home health aide training.

Responsibilities

• Communicates medication-related questions or discrepancies to the Resident Care Director (RCD).
• Notifies RCD of significant changes in resident status.
• Documents supervision of self-administration in MAR.
• Documents and notifies RCD of PRN meds administration.
• Maintains documentation on PRN meds and affect.
• Administers medications and records in MAR.
• Recognizes and helps prevent elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

Education

State Medication Nursing Assistant license

Competency review quarterly

CPR certification (within 6 months)

State approved training in drug administration

Competency evaluation by RCD

Current CNA certification or completed home health aide training

High School education preferred

Benchmark at Bedford Falls is looking for a compassionate Medication Nursing Assistant to join our team! As a MNA, your main role will be to deliver care to our residents within a warm, comfortable, and home-like environment.

Responsibilities

• Communicates questions, concerns, and/or discrepancies related to medication administration to the Resident Care Director (RCD).


• Communicates any significant change of mental or physical status of resident to RCD.


• Documents supervision of self-administration in MAR.


• Documents/ notifies RCD of administration of prn meds.


• Responsible for documentation on prn meds and affect.


• Administers medications and documents in MAR.


• Recognizes and can assist in the prevention of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

Requirements

• Must have state Medication Nursing Assistant license and demonstrate competency in accordance with the state-approved protocol in drug administration


• Successfully complete medication technician competency review (as supervised by RN / RCD) quarterly


• CPR certification required or ability to obtain within six months of hire


• The Medication Technician must complete a state approved training course in drug administration and receive a certificate of satisfactory successful completion.


• Med-Techs will be evaluated on their competency by the RCD each quarter


• Must have current certification as a nursing assistant or have successfully completed the certified home health aide or homemaker/personal care homemaker training program


• High School education preferred
