Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to join our team in Roseland, New Jersey. This part-time position focuses on delivering resident care in a warm, home-like setting, with three shift options available.

Responsibilities include communicating with the Resident Care Director about medication administration, monitoring resident status changes, and documenting MAR entries and PRN doses.

Qualifications

• Must have state Medication Technician License and demonstrate competency in accordance with state-approved protocol in drug administration.
• Successfully complete medication technician competency review quarterly under RN/RCD supervision.
• CPR certification required or obtainable within six months of hire.
• Complete a state-approved training course in drug administration and obtain certificate of satisfactory completion.
• Med-Techs evaluated on competency by RCD each quarter.
• Must have current CNA certification or completed CHHA/homemaker training program.
• High School education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Notifies RCD of significant changes in residents' mental or physical status.
• Documents supervision of self-administration in MAR.
• Documents/ notifies RCD of administration of PRN meds.
• Responsible for documentation on PRN meds and effects.
• Recognizes and assists in prevention of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

As a CMT, your main role will be to deliver care to our residents within a warm, comfortable, and home-like environment. We have 3 Part-time positions open.

Position 1: Every Friday & Saturday 7am-11am Position 2: (Week 1) Sunday & Friday 3pm-7pm and (Week 2) Wednesday & Saturday 3pm-7pm Position 3: (Week 1) Sunday & Monday 11pm-7:15am and (Week 2) Monday & Saturday 11pm-7:15am

Responsibilities

• Communicates questions, concerns, and/or discrepancies related to medication administration to the Resident Care Director (RCD).
• Communicates any significant change of mental or physical status of resident to RCD.
• Documents supervision of self-administration in MAR.
• Documents/ notifies RCD of administration of prn meds.
• Responsible for documentation on prn meds and affect.
• Recognizes and can assist in the prevention of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

Requirements
