Job summary

Benchmark at Rye in Rye NH is seeking a compassionate Certified Medication Technician to join our care team. The role focuses on delivering care to residents in a warm, home-like setting, with options for Full Time Evenings (2pm-10pm) or Overnight (10pm-6am).

The position offers a starting wage of $25-$26.50 per hour and requires state licensing, CPR or willingness to obtain, and ongoing competency reviews. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, documentation, and compassionate resident care.

Qualifications

• Must hold state Medication Technician License and demonstrate competency per state protocol.
• Must complete medication technician competency review quarterly.
• CPR certification required or within six months of hire.
• Complete a state approved training course in drug administration and receive certificate.
• Med-Techs evaluated on competency by the RCD quarterly.
• Current certification as a nursing assistant or completion of CHHA/Home Maker training program.

Responsibilities

• Communicate questions, concerns, and discrepancies related to medication administration to the Resident Care Director (RCD).
• Notify RCD of any significant change in resident status.
• Document supervision of self-administration in MAR.
• Document/notify RCD of administration of PRN meds.
• Document on PRN meds and affect.
• Assist in preventing elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

Benchmark Senior Living is looking for a compassionate Certified Medication Technician to join our team! As a CMT, your main role will be to deliver care to our residents within a warm, comfortable, and home-like environment.

Responsibilities

• Communicates questions, concerns, and/or discrepancies related to medication administration to the Resident Care Director (RCD).
• Communicates any significant change of mental or physical status of resident to RCD.
• Documents supervision of self-administration in MAR.
• Documents/ notifies RCD of administration of prn meds.
• Responsible for documentation on prn meds and affect.
• Recognizes and can assist in the prevention of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

Requirements

• Must have state Medication Technician License and demonstrate competency in accordance with the state-approved protocol in drug administration
• Successfully complete medication technician competency review (as supervised by RN / RCD) quarterly
• CPR certification required or ability to obtain within six months of hire
• The Medication Technician must complete a state approved training course in drug administration and receive a certificate of satisfactory successful completion.
• Med-Techs will be evaluated on their competency by the RCD each quarter
• Must have current certification as a nursing assistant or have successfully completed the certified home health aide or homemaker/personal care homemaker training program
• High School education preferred
