Job summary

Blue Origin in San Diego is seeking a Senior Principal IC Design Engineer to lead PLLs and clocking in advanced CMOS/SiGe processes for mmWave space applications. You will shape architecture, drive verification, and mentor engineers while coordinating with RF and SOC teams. A relocation option and up to 10% travel are available.

Onsite with temporary remote flexibility during site development. Ideal candidates bring 15+ years in PLLs/LO generation, strong loop design skills, and deep experience

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in high-speed PLL and LO design for RF/mmWave.
• Strong background in clocking, phase noise, jitter, and optimization.
• Proficiency with RF modeling, verification, and layout considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and integration of PLLs and clock distribution in CMOS FinFET and SiGe.
• Collaborate with RF and SOC architects to meet system specs.
• Oversee layout, floorplanning, and tape-out verification.
• Develop test plans and lead bring-up for high-yield production.
• Mentor junior engineers on analog/RF design best practices.
