Job summary

Qualifications

• 60 semester hours from an accredited institution; at least 24 hours in medical laboratory technology or 24 hours of science including chemistry and biology.
• Within 6 months, training in at least one department; within 1 year ASCP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts chemical analyses of body fluids to determine normal and abnormal components.
• Analyzes and verifies test results before releasing findings.
• Performs quality control studies and routine preventative maintenance.
• Assists in the orientation and training of new laboratory staff.
• Responds to queries from hospital care team members promptly.
