Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to perform diagnostic testing on patient samples to aid physicians. You will maintain records, follow quality control procedures, perform testing, report results and troubleshoot instruments.

This is a full-time evening shift with comprehensive benefits and ongoing professional development. Ideal candidates have an AS degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology and MLT certification (AMT/ASCP/NCA);

Qualifications

• Associate of Applied Science degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology or related field and MLT certification.
• Laboratory experience preferred.
• English communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains laboratory records.
• Follows laboratory policies and procedures and quality control.
• Performs common testing procedures and reports test results.
• Performs instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Performs quality control testing.
• Maintains supplies needed for performance of tests.
