Job summary

Texas Oncology is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) / Medical Lab Technician (MLT) to join our North Austin team. This full-time role covers Chemistry, Hematology, and Specimen Processing with no weekends.

Level 1/2/Sr options depend on experience, offering pathways for growth and responsibilities across the lab. You will perform moderate to high complexity tests, maintain QC, and assist with patient flow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field required.
• Certification (ASCP/AMT) preferred; licensure varies by state.
• Three levels of experience available (Level 1/2/Sr) based on background.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate and high complexity testing with appropriate QA.
• Conduct specimen collection and assist patient flow as needed.
• Maintain instrument calibration, QC, and documentation.
• Train staff on lab procedures and safety policies.
• Prepare specimens for testing and reference lab send-outs.
