Texas Oncology in Austin, TX seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team. The MLS will perform specimen analysis, instrument maintenance, and quality control across chemistry, hematology, and immunology tests, while following safety policies.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy support, specimen processing, result reporting, proficiency testing, and ensuring documentation quality. This role offers opportunities for growth across levels 1, 2, or Sr depending on experience, with

Qualifications

• > The MLS role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or a related field and active certification where applicable.
• < Strong knowledge of QC/QA practices and CLIA regulations.
• < Experience performing moderate to high complexity testing across chemistry, hematology, and immunology.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen analysis and quality control procedures for chemistry, hematology and immunology.
• Maintain and operate laboratory instruments with routine maintenance.
• Train employees in laboratory procedures and act as a resource for lab science information.
• Assist with specimen collection and patient flow as needed.
• Ensure proper documentation of results, quality control, and instrument calibrations.
• Participate in proficiency testing and reference lab coordination.
