Job summary

Texas Oncology in Austin is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist at MLS level 1, 2, or Sr to perform specimen analysis, instrument maintenance, and quality control. The role includes phlebotomy, specimen handling, and supporting daily laboratory operations to ensure accurate patient results.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Medical Technology or related field with state licensure as required; AMT/ASCP preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field (or equivalent).
• State licensure as required; AMT/ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.
• Level 1 requires minimal experience; Level 2/ Sr add years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate/high complexity testing and validate results.
• Conduct specimen collection and processing per SOPs.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and perform routine QC and calibrations.
• Train staff and oversee daily lab activities in supervisor's absence.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and quality assurance standards.
