Job summary

HSHS St. Anthony’s Hospital is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT) to join our lab team. You will conduct a variety of tests on patient samples to detect health conditions, mainly on the Evening shift in Effingham, IL.

The role requires relevant education and certification; a 10K sign-on bonus is offered, with pay based on experience and credentials. Join a team of dedicated professionals in a trusted health system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with NAACLS-accredited MLS/MT program OR ASCP certification plus bachelor’s degree.
• 2 years full-time lab experience in an accredited lab preferred.
• Certification must be received within 180 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a variety of tests on patient samples (blood, body fluids, cells, tissue) to detect health conditions.
• Perform duties within the Lab department on an evening shift (Full-time, 40 hours per week).

Education

Bachelor’s degree with NAACLS MLS/MT or ASCP certification

2 years full-time lab experience in accredited lab
