Job summary

HSHS St. Anthony's Hospital in Effingham, IL is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT) to join our laboratory team. You will perform a variety of tests on patient specimens, contributing to accurate diagnoses and patient care.

The role requires a bachelor's degree with NAACLS MLS/MT or ASCP certification (or equivalent) and 2 years of lab experience. A 10K sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates. Evening shift, full-time, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biological science, chemistry and mathematics required.
• Completion of NAACLS-accredited MLS/MT program or ASCP with bachelor’s and 2 years lab experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a variety of tests on patient samples (blood, body fluids, cells, tissue) to detect health conditions.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure quality control and safety in the lab.
• Support continuous improvement of lab procedures and outcomes.
