Job summary

The role requires leadership and 5-8 years of lab experience, plus proficiency with MS Office. You will train technologists, develop procedures, and collaborate with clinical teams to uphold quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory, Life Sciences or Medical Technology required.
• 5-8 years related work experience required.
• Experience with computer systems, including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a resource for assigned areas of expertise and provides technical support to staff.
• Researches new tests, performs instrument evaluations, writes SOPs, and maintains supplies.
• Resolves technical problems and troubleshoots when test systems are not within established performance.
• Oversees periodic review of QC and instrumentation logs to ensure accuracy of results.
• Provides input into technical decisions and gathers monthly QC statistics.
• Trains Medical Technologists and Medical Lab Technologists.
• Trains residents and fellows and acts as liaison between Lab Support Services and clinical departments.
