Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center seeks an MLS Team Lead in Chemistry Lab for FT Day Shift, M-F with every 4th weekend. The role oversees tests, ensures accuracy, and reports findings to pathologists and clinicians.

Leadership duties include staff support, workflow management, and on-call coverage. Required: Bachelor's in MLS/Medical Technology or Biological Science, ASCP certification, and 3–5+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science / Medical Technology or Biological Science required.
• 3 years full-time experience required for exceptional internal candidates; 5+ years experience preferred/external applicants.
• ASCP certified generalist or categorical technologist (or equivalent) required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and perform a full range of lab tests according to SOPs and report results to clinicians.
• Provide technical support and leadership to staff; supervise workflow and allocate resources.
• Train and mentor Medical Lab Scientists and Technicians; participate in training and competency development.
