Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a full-time Laboratory Technician for night shifts to support pre-analytical and analytical activities in the lab. You will maintain equipment, process specimens, and report results in a timely and accurate manner.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in a lab-related field, with 2+ years of clinical lab experience preferred. You may participate in training, quality improvement, and safety programs within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2+ years of clinical lab experience preferred.
• CLIA equivalency guidelines may apply.
• Proficiency in laboratory techniques and data documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-analytical activities including equipment checks, inventory, specimen collection and processing.
• Carry out post-analytical activities: report results and provide technical support.
• Complete tests per SOPs and participate in proficiency testing.
• May precept new staff and educate clinical personnel.
• Follow safety policies and use PPE; handle hazardous materials.
• Contribute to quality improvement and evaluate new techniques.
