Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a qualified Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform pre-analytical and analytical duties, including specimen collection, processing, and reporting results. The role emphasizes safety, quality control, and adherence to SOPs in a fast-paced hospital lab.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a medical laboratory field and Florida licensure as a CLT/Supervisor. Experience in a CLIA-certified lab and the ability to train others are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or related field is required.
• Florida license as Clinical Laboratory Technologist or Clinical Laboratory Supervisor is required.
• Laboratory experience and training in a CLIA-certified setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-analytical activities including equipment maintenance, function checks, inventory control, supply stocking, specimen collection, and disinfection of laboratory spaces.
• Conducts post-analytical activities including reporting results and providing technical support.
• Completes tests and analytical procedures according to standard operating procedures.
• Participates in proficiency testing and adheres to federal/state regulations and institutional policies.
• May precept new employees or students and provide training as needed.
