Phoenix Children’s Hospital Gilbert is adding a new laboratory team and recruiting for Medical Laboratory Scientists to join the night shift at our new East Valley location. This 0.9 FTE, hourly position offers a rotating weekend schedule and generalist duties across the lab.

The MLS II conducts standard, complex and specialized tests, interprets results, supports quality control, and collaborates with the team to improve procedures and safety. Supervision is provided by the lab supervisor.

Competenze

• Graduate of a CLIA high-complexity CLS program or equivalent.
• Clinical laboratory experience required.
• Ability to interpret complex test results and data.
• Familiarity with quality control programs.

Mansioni

• Prepare clear, accurate reports of test results for patient care decisions.
• Perform wide range of chemical, microbiologic, hematologic and/or immunohematologic tests as assigned.
• Evaluate new procedures/instruments and support quality improvement.
• Troubleshoot instrument malfunctions and ensure safe operation.
• Maintain professional competency and stay current with literature.
