Connecticut State Community College invites applications for an Assistant Professor, Program Coordinator at CT State Quinebaug Valley Willimantic Center. The appointment is full-time, 10-month tenure track with anticipated Fall 2027 start and on-site work.

The role combines teaching thirty credit hours annually across the designated program, with duties in curriculum development, student advising, and coordination of program activities, internships, and partnerships with local employers.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and backgrounds.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Three years of practical laboratory experience; teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach 30 credits per academic year across assigned courses; develop syllabi and reading lists.
• Respond to students, peers, and external agencies; support student success.
• Develop curriculum; review and update instructional materials.
• Assist with program reviews, accreditation activities, and departmental reviews.
• Plan and coordinate program events, internships, and partnerships with local employers.
