Job summary

Connecticut State Community College (CT State) seeks an Assistant Professor, Program Coordinator to teach and coordinate programs at CT State Naugatuck Valley in Waterbury, CT. The role includes teaching up to 30 credits annually across lecture, hybrid, and online formats, developing syllabi, advising students, and collaborating with faculty, staff, and external partners.

This is a tenure-track, full-time, 10-month position beginning Spring 2027.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Legal Studies or a related discipline.
  • Four (4) years college teaching experience (96+ credits).
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, including individuals with disabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

  • Teach thirty (30) credit hours per academic year across assigned courses.
  • Deliver courses in lecture, hybrid, and/or online formats.
  • Respond to and work with students, peers, and external partners.
  • Develop curriculum and update instructional materials.
  • Assist with program reviews and accreditation activities.
  • Plan and execute program-related events.
  • Attend workshops and conferences to maintain currency in the field.
