Caroline County Public Schools seeks a professional Teacher - Multilingual Learners (MLL) for a 10-month position in Denton, MD. The role focuses on delivering instructional programs to multilingual learners to boost student achievement.

Required: Maryland ESOL PreK-12 certification (eligible) and strong instructional knowledge. Dual language in English/Spanish preferred; duties include planning, assessment, and collaboration with staff and families.

Qualifications

• Maryland educator certificate in ESOL PreK-12 or eligible.
• Dual Language (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Knowledge of current instructional methodologies.
• Ability to relate well with students, colleagues, parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Instruct assigned classes at scheduled locations and times.
• Plan a program of study to meet MLL students' needs.
• Create a conducive classroom environment for MLLs.
• Prepare for classes and show written prep upon request.
• Encourage MLL students to meet behavioral standards.
• Implement district education goals and communicate objectives to students.
• Assess student progress and provide regular progress reports.
• Maintain accurate records as required by policy and law.
• Support administration in policies and student life rules.
• Make time available to students/parents outside instructional hours.
• Attend staff meetings and participate on committees.
• Uphold professional ethics and perform other duties as assigned.
