Job summary

Pinterest seeks a senior engineering leader to guide the Measurement Products team. You will drive the technical vision for ads measurement, partnering across Product, Data Science, and Infrastructure to build scalable, production-grade systems.

You will hire and mentor engineers, champion AI-assisted tooling, and ensure rigorous validation, privacy, and accountability. This role is based in the US with in-office collaboration 1–2 times per month.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of industry experience building software, ML, or large-scale data systems.
• 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams responsible for production systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with ads measurement, ad effectiveness, or incrementality (e.g., conversion lift, brand lift, MMM, MTA, clean-room measurement).
• Strong understanding of experimentation, causal inference, probabilistic modeling, or measurement with noisy or privacy-constrained data.
• Ability to set a technical vision and drive multi-year roadmaps for production systems.
• Proven success partnering across Engineering, Product Management, Data Science, Infrastructure, and business teams.
• Experience leading teams through trade-offs involving rigor, usability, complexity, data quality, privacy, and time to market.
• Track record of hiring and developing engineering managers and senior leaders.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of ML, backend, and data engineers building ads measurement products and platforms.
• Set the technical vision and multi-year engineering strategy for Measurement Products.
• Partner with Product, Data Science, Ads Engineering, and Infrastructure to productionize causal inference and experimentation solutions.
• Drive scalable ML and data platforms for measurement products (conversion lift, brand lift, MMM, etc.).
• Influence roadmap to improve speed, scale, usability and actionability of measurement offerings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to expand adoption and impact of measurement products.
• Hire, mentor, and grow engineering leaders and engineers; foster inclusive culture of excellence and accountability.
• Champion AI-assisted development while maintaining validation, explainability, and data protection standards.
