Job summary

Pinterest is seeking a Senior Leader for Measurement Products to guide ML, backend, and data engineers in building scalable ad measurement platforms. You will define the long-term engineering strategy, partner with cross-functional teams, and drive rigorous, privacy-conscious measurement products.

You will oversee causal inference and experimentation capabilities, mentor leaders, and promote the use of AI-assisted tools while upholding high standards for validation and accountability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of industry experience building software, ML, or large-scale data systems.
• 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams responsible for production systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related field or equivalent experience.
• Meaningful experience with ads measurement, ad effectiveness, or incrementally (e.g., conversion lift, brand lift, MMM, MTA, clean-room measurement).
• Strong understanding of experimentation, causal inference, probabilistic modeling, or measurement with noisy or privacy-constrained data.
• Ability to set a compelling technical vision and drive multi-year roadmaps and production systems.
• Proven success partnering across Engineering, Product Management, Data Science, Infrastructure, and business teams.
• Ability to balance methodological rigor with product usability, system complexity, and time to market.
• Experience establishing strong engineering practices for architecture, monitoring, governance.
• Track record of hiring, mentoring, and developing engineering leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of ML, backend, and data engineers building ads measurement products and platforms.
• Set the technical vision and multi-year engineering strategy for Measurement Products.
• Partner with Product, Data Science, Ads Engineering, and Infrastructure to productionize causal inference and ad-effectiveness solutions.
• Develop scalable ML and data platforms for measurement products like lift and MMM.
• Influence the Ads Product roadmap to improve speed, scale, and usability of measurement offerings.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to expand adoption and impact of measurement products.
• Hire, mentor, and grow engineering leaders, fostering technical excellence and cross-functional collaboration.
• Champion AI-assisted development while ensuring validation, explainability, data protection, and accountability.
