Job summary

Bain & Company is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to build and run data and machine-learning pipelines for the Diligence Platform. You will implement ingestion and embedding pipelines, support RAG tooling, and write high-quality Python with testing and reviews.

You will collaborate with Data Engineers and Data Scientists, contribute to evaluation datasets, and help shape production-grade ML systems in a hybrid work setting in the Atlanta area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field.
• 2+ years building software, data, or ML systems, including production pipelines or services.
• Exposure to model deployment, serving, or monitoring is a plus.
• Experience collaborating with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, or AI squads to ship features dependent on ML outputs.
• Proficiency in Python; cloud experience (Databricks, Azure, AWS) is a plus.
• Ability to take a scoped task from spec to tested implementation with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain components of production data and ML pipelines (ingestion jobs, feature/embedding pipelines).
• Build and support RAG and retrieval stack components (chunking, embeddings, pgvector indexing).
• Write production-quality Python with tests and linting; code review before merge.
• Instrument pipelines with logs/metrics; contribute to dashboards and alerts.
• Triage and fix bugs in pipeline and serving code with escalation to seniors.
