Job summary

Bain & Company is seeking a Senior ML Engineer to join the PEG Innovation team in a hybrid role based in Texas. You will build and maintain data and ML pipelines, collaborating with data professionals and AI squads to ship reliable production code.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, testing, and observability, with opportunities to take ownership and influence retrieval and embedding stacks in a production environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/Eng/ML.
• 2+ years building software, data, or ML systems.
• Exposure to production pipelines or services.
• Experience with Python in a cloud environment (Databricks, Azure, AWS) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain production data and ML pipelines (ingestion, embedding, retrieval).
• Write production-quality Python with tests and linting.
• Instrument pipelines with logs and metrics; contribute to dashboards and alerts.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and AI squads on pipeline tasks.
• Participate in design and code reviews; keep documentation up to date.
