Etsy is hiring a Machine Learning Engineer II to join the Fulfillment ML team in Brooklyn. You will build and operate the pipelines that power delivery estimates, pricing, and fulfillment decisions at scale, collaborating with engineers, product managers, and data scientists.

This role blends ML platform engineering with applied ML work, offering growth in both systems and modeling within a mature MLOps stack that serves millions of buyers and sellers daily.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of professional experience building and shipping production ML systems.
• Strong Python skills and good code hygiene, testing, and reviews.
• Exposure to batch data pipelines and ML orchestration (Airflow, Kubeflow, Dagster, Prefect).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain training, validation, promotion, and batch-inference pipelines to production.
• Extend Airflow DAGs across training, inference, and validation workflows.
• Collaborate on backtests, tuning model outputs to hit business targets.
• Contribute to model migrations onto internal ML platform with configs and feature pipelines.
• Triages and debugs production incidents affecting model-driven surfaces and coordinates fixes.
