Role Description

The Mitigation Crew Chief/Restoration Techs role is a full-time, on-site position based in Montgomery, AL. Team members perform water, fire, and mold mitigation and restoration services, including extracting water, setting and monitoring drying equipment, cleaning and deodorizing affected areas, and removing damaged materials. The Crew Chief coordinates job scopes, leads field crews, communicates with property owners and adjusters, and ensures documentation and job site safety standards are followed. Restoration Techs support job setup, equipment handling, site cleanup, and inventory of materials while following company protocols and quality guidelines. The role involves working in varying conditions, responding to emergency calls, and occasionally working evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in restoration, construction, or related trades; ability to use hand tools, power tools, and mitigation equipment safely.
• Strong customer service and communication skills to interact professionally with property owners, teammates, and insurance representatives.
• Basic proficiency with mobile apps or computers for job documentation, photos, and service reports.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, work in confined or elevated spaces, and stand or walk for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation to the Montgomery, AL worksite.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to follow written and verbal instructions in fast-paced situations.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation, respond to after-hours emergencies, and complete company-provided training and certifications.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience in mitigation, remediation, or SERVPRO®-related work is a plus.
