Job summary

The Boeing Company in Berkeley, MO is seeking a Mission Systems Lead Software Architect to define and own the software architecture for the Mission Systems solution, guiding design decisions across security levels and suppliers. This role coordinates with Digital Engineering Environment, Systems Engineering, customers and program leadership to ensure mission readiness and conformance.

A Bachelor’s Degree and 7+ years in C/C++/C# are required, with embedded software and leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 7+ years programming in C, C++ or C#.
• 5+ years in software development, systems engineering or integrations and test for mission systems.
• 5+ years in software architecture and design of embedded software systems.
• 3+ years leading software-related projects or technical teams.
• 3+ years with requirements, design, development and test of software systems products.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the Mission Systems software architecture roadmap.
• Lead and approve the software development plan with key architects.
• Ensure teams document architecture, requirements, interfaces and designs.
• Coordinate across Mission Systems, Supply Chain, and customers.
• Mentor teammates and drive documentation for program reviews.
