Job summary

Anduril Industries Maritime is seeking an experienced systems debugger to diagnose and fix field anomalies in autonomous underwater and surface vehicles. You’ll trace issues to the responsible subsystem, reproduce with real data, and verify fixes in hardware-in-the-loop before deployment to vehicles.

You’ll write fixes in the subsystem language (Rust, C++, Python, Go) with tests and CI, document root causes, and push for lasting improvements across the stack to reduce recurring failures and

Qualifications

• Experience debugging code you didn’t write under time pressure.
• Ability to read and fix bugs in Rust, modern C++, Python, or Go.
• Familiarity with observability tooling (Prometheus/Grafana, Loki/ELK).

Responsibilities

• Take field-reported anomalies and identify the actual subsystem.
• Reproduce issues with recorded data and visualization tools.
• Use existing metrics/logs to reconstruct system state at failure.
• Confirm fixes in hardware-in-the-loop before vehicle deployment.
• Write fixes in the relevant subsystem language with tests and CI.
• Determine if the problem is a bug, misconfig, or deployment mismatch, and fix at the proper layer.
• Document root cause and fix for future traceability.
• Advocate for subsystem changes when needed to prevent recurrence.
