Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Senior Software Engineer for its Maritime Division to independently drive embedded and safety-critical software across our autonomous maritime platforms. You will own vehicle management system components, including drivers, firmware, power management, and networking, contributing to end-to-end lifecycle from architecture to deployment.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate across disciplines, and travel up to 20% to co-locate with end-users and teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
Proficient in C and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
Experience with automotive/avionics-style communication busses and protocols (CAN, UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, ARINC).
Strong systems programming skills: algorithms, data structures, concurrency, optimization.
Ability to own software components end-to-end: requirements, design, implementation, sustainment.
Willingness to mentor teammates and collaborate across disciplines.
Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

Design and implement trusted, safety-critical Vehicle Management Systems for maritime autonomous platforms.
Develop scalable sub-systems: sensor processing, state estimation, contingency management, actuation, and mission interfaces.
Create reusable software components across Anduril products.
Develop real-time embedded software using an RTOS and drivers for sensors/actuators.
Build test and simulation fixtures for software/hardware-in-the-loop.
Support vehicle manufacturing and deployment; mentor junior engineers.
Travel up to 20% to co-locate with end-users or teams.
