Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a seasoned debugger to work on maritime autonomous systems. You’ll diagnose field anomalies, reproduce with real data, and close fixes directly in the active codebase. You’ll gain fluency across subsystems and prepare root-cause analyses for long-term reliability.

Expect hardware-in-the-loop testing and rigorous CI-driven deployments. You’ll work with Rust, C++, Python, or Go, and leverage Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and ELK for observability.

Qualifications

  • Experience debugging code under time pressure with incomplete information.
  • Familiarity with at least two of Rust, C++, Python, Go to read and fix bugs.

Responsibilities

  • Take field-reported anomalies and identify the actual subsystem.
  • Reproduce issues with real data; use visualization tools to inspect state.
  • Use existing metrics/logs to reconstruct system state at failure.
  • Confirm fixes in simulated or hardware-in-the-loop environments before deployment.
  • Write fixes in the subsystem language with tests and CI integration.
  • Diagnose whether problem is a bug, bad config, or deployment mismatch and fix at root.
  • Document root cause and fix for each closed issue and improve triage/runbook.
