Job summary

Amentum at Johnson Space Center is seeking a Project Manager to lead end-to-end mission operations projects under the COSMOS contract, coordinating with systems engineers, software engineers, release managers, customers and supporting organizations.

The role requires strong scheduling, risk management, and communications to ensure on-time delivery, alignment with mission objectives, and compliant procurement milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of general experience; Master’s degree with 1 year of general experience.
• Must be able to obtain a NASA Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Badge for NASA credentials.
• Experience coordinating across multiple engineering disciplines and supporting organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned projects from initiation through closeout.
• Serve as the single accountable owner for project execution.
• Develop and maintain project plans.
• Coordinate work across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Balance competing priorities while maintaining customer commitments.
• Ensure projects support mission objectives.
• Track procurement milestones and ensure timely delivery to meet project schedules.
• Understand and manage approved requirements.
• Develop and manage realistic schedules and communicate schedule impacts to stakeholders when required.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and communicate mitigations to stakeholders.
