Job summary

BlackSky is seeking a thoughtful Engineering Manager to lead the Mission Management team responsible for autonomous satellite operations planning. You will guide engineers, define roadmaps, and ensure alignment with commercial and program objectives.

You will partner with flight operations, software, mission planning, and product teams to drive priorities, maintain reliability, and deliver high-quality capabilities for the constellation.

Qualifications

• Leadership and people management experience.
• Ability to set technical direction and empower engineers.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the Mission Management engineering team for autonomous satellite operations planning.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align engineering work with business goals and mission requirements.
• Provide architectural guidance for orchestrating constellation activities and improving engineering processes.
• Hire and develop engineers, ensuring high-quality, reliable software and on-call readiness.
