deciBel Research, Inc. seeks a Modeling & Simulation Engineer in Huntsville, AL to develop, integrate, and execute high-fidelity IAMD simulations.

You will transform complex mission architectures into quantitative performance data to support investment and modernization decisions. The role emphasizes design and testing of sensor, interceptor, and threat-kinematics models, with experience in real-time (HIL/SIL) and constructive simulations, data pipelines, and DoD simulation frameworks.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or closely related highly technical field.
• 5–10 years of applied engineering experience in modeling, simulation, and analytical tool development.
• Strong programming skills in C++ to build and integrate simulations.
• Experience integrating models into larger simulation architectures and data pipelines.

Responsabilidades

• Design, code, and test high-fidelity models and simulations of IAMD components (sensors, interceptors, threat kinematics).
• Integrate models into real-time and non-real-time simulation frameworks (HIL/SIL, constructive).
• Develop automated analysis tools to parse large simulation datasets and enable sensitivity analysis and trade-space exploration.
• Evaluate threat kinematics, sensor-shooter assignments, and overall lethality for end-to-end performance.
