Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Warehouse Coordinator to manage daily warehouse operations, inventory, and deployment readiness for disaster response. You will lead volunteers, maintain accurate digital records, and ensure safety standards are followed to support mission-driven activities.

You will coordinate shipments, prepare deployment kits, and collaborate with drivers and maintenance staff to ensure smooth logistics for trainings, events, and disaster deployments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; logistics or supply-chain training preferred.
• Two or more years in warehouse or logistics experience (nonprofit or emergency services preferred).
• Familiarity with Lean, 5S, or warehouse optimization systems.
• Forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment operation (training provided).
• Proficient with basic computer applications (Excel, inventory systems, scanning tools).
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical warehouse tasks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving shipments and routing materials to storage zones.
• Maintain clean, organized storage areas using 5S and Lean principles.
• Implement FIFO rotation for time-sensitive materials.
• Manage staging areas for deployments, trainings, and events.
• Maintain equipment and tools in good condition.
