Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to support logistics, inventory control, and production planning within the PRODUCTION department. You will monitor KPIs, SOPs, and help ensure a safe, efficient work environment, mentoring program participants as needed.

Under supervision, you will assist in scheduling, reporting, and coordination of operations to meet daily goals and maintain quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in warehouse operations, logistics, or production.
• 1+ year supervising volunteers, interns, employees, or program participants.
• Valid driver’s license; able to pass MVR.
• Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Operations Manager with inventory control, pricing, and logistics.
• Monitor KPI and SOP for Work Therapy Unit (WTU) efficiency.
• In absence of the Operations Manager, lead on all functions after full training.
• Coach and mentor program participants during work therapy.
• Ensure safety and health standards; maintain compliant work environment.
• Prepare reports, space planning and efficient production flow.
