Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory is seeking a Program Support Assistant to assist with daily operational readiness for Emergency Disaster Services. You will support logistics, inventory, training coordination, and field operations to ensure preparedness for emergency responses and community events.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to supervise volunteers during training and deployments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of relevant experience.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to meet Salvation Army insurance requirements.
• CPR Instructor certification preferred or ability to obtain.
• Basic knowledge of logistics, inventory control, and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Provide response coverage during normal business hours and assist in on-call rotation.
• Maintain readiness of EDS equipment, vehicles, and assets; perform inspections and maintenance.
• Assist with administrative tasks: reports, logs, data entry, and documentation.
• Support logistics: coordinating movement, deployment, and maintenance of EDS assets.
• Assist with training preparation, classroom readiness, equipment setup, and supply coordination.
