Job summary
The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to support Emergency Disaster Services operations in the Philadelphia area. This full‑time role focuses on logistics, fleet maintenance, asset management, and supplier relationships to ensure readiness for preparedness, response, and recovery activities.
The position requires coordinating with local and state agencies, supervising volunteers, and maintaining accurate records.
Qualifications
- Minimum High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of emergency management experience preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive large vehicles/tow trailers.
Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance and readiness of assets (vehicles, canteens, trailers, generators, inventory).
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and inspections of fleet and equipment.
- Maintain records for maintenance, inventory, fleet activity, and billing.
- Develop inventory control systems and vendor relationships for cost-effective support.
- Support on-call logistics for the Greater Philadelphia Area EDS program.
