Job summary

Coast Guard Exchange is seeking a Store Manager I in Houston, TX. The role leads a retail unit with emphasis on customer service, staff leadership, and sales growth, with a structured daytime schedule (Mon-Fri).

Qualifications

Two years of progressively responsible experience in a position equivalent to a department manager or assistant manager that demonstrates leadership, operational oversight, and customer service management.
Ability to routinely lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
P&L analysis experience and prior retail merchandising experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

Manage a retail activity with annual sales of under $5M.
Direct and supervise all store personnel; assist customers and resolve complaints.
Interview, hire, train, or direct training of assigned personnel; coach and develop employees.
Coordinate with HQ staff on promotions and pricing; oversee pricing changes.
Ensure loss prevention policies are followed; monitor shrink and safety compliance.
Review monthly P&Ls with the aim of aligning actuals to plan.
