Job summary

Coast Guard Exchange at Ellington Field in Houston seeks an hourly Store Manager I to lead a retail team, manage store operations, and deliver excellent customer service with a balanced schedule. The role offers a Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

shift with no weekends or late nights. Ideal candidates have at least two years of store leadership experience, the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, and a strong focus on team development and sales growth.

Qualifications

• Two years of progressively responsible experience in a position equivalent to a department manager or assistant manager.
• Ability to routinely lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift 25 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all store personnel and retail operations.
• Assist customers and resolve complaints; interview, hire, train, or direct training for assigned personnel.
• Develop promotional sales with HQ staff; oversee pricing changes with HQ buying staff and vendors.
• Monitor monthly P&Ls to compare against plan and adjust actions for future months.
• Ensure compliance with Loss Prevention policies and safety/emergency standards.
