Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida is seeking a Retail Shift Supervisor to support the management team in day-to-day store operations at the Punta Gorda location. The role drives sales, manages expenses, and supports mission services while maintaining a safe, customer-focused environment.

The position requires overseeing staff, training, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is expected as part of store operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of retail sales experience preferred.
• Ability to learn and operate point-of-sale systems, donation systems, office computers, and telephones.
• Ability to supervise and train employees in production, merchandising, checkout, and customer service functions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized store environment and ensure safety standards.
• Assist in achieving store sales, expenses, profit, and Ecommerce revenue goals.
• Educate customers, donors, and the community about Goodwill programs and mission services.
• Sort and grade merchandise, price items, and meet daily production goals.
• Prepare and submit accurate reports and control store expenses.
• Supervise, train, and support employees to meet standards.
• Facilitate weekly staff training and ensure compliance with policies.
