Job summary

St. Vincent de Paul Northern Kentucky is seeking a Retail Keyholder to provide floor leadership and support daily operations in the absence of management. You will greet customers, assist donors, and ensure mission-aligned service with dignity and compassion.

As acting manager on duty, you will lead shifts, enforce store policies, coordinate with volunteers, and maintain a welcoming, safe environment for neighbors, team members, and volunteers while upholding SVdP values.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of retail, customer service, or nonprofit experience.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Alignment with SVdP’s mission and values.
• Comfortable leading a team during assigned shifts and making routine decisions.
• Basic proficiency with point-of-sale systems, money handling, and computer literacy.
• Ability to perform physical tasks: lifting up to 50 lbs, standing long hours.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors with warmth, professionalism, and gratitude.
• Assist customers with purchases, questions, and concerns.
• Lead shift as acting manager on duty and supervise volunteers.
• Maintain a clean, safe sales floor and donation area.
• Provide clock-in/out procedures and shift notes.
• Support training and provide feedback to Managers.
• Communicate safety and policies to customers and team.
