Guide Dogs for the Blind seeks an IT Infrastructure Specialist for Oregon to support computer systems, networks, telephony, security, AV, and software applications on the OR campus. You will collaborate with IT colleagues, users, and vendors to resolve issues and ensure reliable tech operations.

The role reports to the VP of the OR campus and has a dotted line to CA IT Infrastructure Manager, with a hybrid schedule after onboarding.

Formación

• Minimum five years of experience in computer hardware/software support and network administration.
• Experience with Windows, Active Directory, VMWare, Box, Zoom, Verkada, ArcticWolf, Ruckus, remote access and patch management tools, and VoIP.

Responsabilidades

• Manage complex projects with timelines and deadlines.
• Respond to Help Desk requests for on‑campus, remote, and field users across devices and apps.
• Research, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot networks, servers, storage, and AV systems; manage access control and surveillance; maintain phones and desktops/mobile devices.
• Perform network maintenance, configuration, and repairs, including after‑hours work.
• Support upgrades and integration of application software.
• Create technical and end‑user documentation meeting accessibility guidelines.
• Manage complex technology projects with limited direction.
• Provide backup for CA IT Infrastructure Specialist duties and escalate to vendors as needed.
• Research, evaluate and procure new technologies for IT initiatives.
• Stay current with hardware, software and enterprise apps; maintain expertise in admin systems, internet tools, mobile tech, productivity apps, and VoIP.
• Provide user support for videoconferencing, AV equipment, specialized software, and assistive technologies.
• Maintain awareness of organizational needs through ongoing communication with users and stakeholders.
• Adhere to IT policies and safety practices; report incidents promptly.
• Perform additional duties within IT and represent the department as assigned.
